The contradictions in the Qur'anic vulgate :

1° Who brings down the revelation ?

Verse 97 of Sura 2 contradicts verses 41, 90, 170 and 176 of Sura 2, verses 3 and 7 of Sura 3, verses 61, 136 and 166 of Sura 4, verses 45, 47 and 104 of Sura 5, verse 196 of Sura 7, verse 33 of the Sura 9, verse 1 of Sura 13, verses 2 and 101 of Sura 16, verse 1 of Sura 18, verse 6 of Sura 25, verse 192 of Sura 26 and verse 28 of Sura 48 which are also in contradiction with verse 102 of Sura 16.

Indeed, it is written, in 2, 97 : « [...] Gabriel (Jibrîl) it is he who, with the permission of Allah, brought down [...] », while it is mentioned, in 2, 41 : « And believe that I [Allah] brought down [...] », in 2, 90,170, 4, 61, 5, 45,47,104 : « What Allah brought down », in 2, 176 : « [...] it is with the truth that Allah brought down the Book [...] », in 3, 3 : « He (Allah) brought down the book upon you with the truth [...] », in 3, 7 : « It is He [Allah] who brought down the Book upon you [...] », in 4, 136 : « [...] to the Book which He [Allah] sent down on his Messenger [...] », in 4, 166 : « But Allah testifies to what He brought down on you [...] », in 7, 196 : « [...] it is Allah who brought down the Book », in 9, 33 : « It is He [Allah] who sent [...] the religion of truth [...] », in 13, 1 : « These are the verses of the Book, and that which was revealed to you by your Lord [...] », in 16, 2 : « He [Allah] sends down, by His order, the angels with Revelation [...] », in 16, 101 : « [...] Allah is better what He brings down [...] », in 18, 1 : « Praise to Allah who brought down on his servant the Book [...] », in 25, 6 : « Say : He brought down He [Allah] who knows the secrets in heaven and earth », in 26, 192 : « This (Qur'an) this is the Lord of the Universe who brought him down [...] », and in 48, 28 : « It is He [Allah] who sent [...] the religion of truth [...] ». On the other hand, it is written, in 16:102 : « [...] it is the Holy Spirit (1) who brought him down on the part of your Lord [...] »

Verse 19 of Sura 13 indicates that what was revealed was "on the part" of the Lord, but without specifying who brought it down.

(1) the spirit of holiness "Rûh al-Qudus", that is to say the breath of God. It is therefore in no way an angel !

2° Who announced the birth of Jesus ('Issa), who brought the Proclamation to Mary (Maryam) ?

Verses 43 and 45 of Sura 3 are in contradiction with verses 17 and 19 of Sura 19. Indeed, it is written, in 3:43,45 : « And when the angels (mala'ika) said « O Maryam ! Allah, in truth, has chosen you [...] When the angels said : O Maryam, behold, Allah announces to you a word from him [...] » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 19:17;19 : « [...] We sent to her our Spirit (Rûh), who presented himself to her in the form of a perfect man [...] He says : I am in fact a messenger of your Lord [...] »

We note that the Spirit differs from the angels (cf. 70:4 ; 78:38 ; 97:4).

3° On Pharaoh (Fir'awn)

Verse 92 of Sura 10 contradicts verse 103 of Sura 17, verse 40 of Sura 28, and verse 55 of Sura 43.

Indeed, it is written, in 10, 92 : « Today we will spare your body so that you become a sign [...] » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 17:103 : « [...] We drowned them all, he and those who were with him », in 28:40 : « We [...] threw them into the flood [...] », and in 43:55 : « We [...] drowned them all. »

4° Is God the only Creator ?

Verses 101 and 102 of Sura 6, 16 of Sura 13, 62 of Sura 39, 62 of Sura 40, and 24 of Sura 59 contradict verse 14 of Sura 23, and verse 125 of Sura 37.

Indeed, it is written, in 6:101-102 : « [...] It is He who created everything [...] creator of everything [...] », in 13:16 and 39:62 : « [...] Allah is the creator of all things [...] », in 40:62 : « [...] creator of all things [...] », and in 59:24 : « He is Allah, the Creator, the One who gives a beginning to all things [...] » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 23:14 : « [...] Allah the Best of Creators », and in 37:125 : « [...] the Best of Creators. »

5° Did the magicians (as-saharat) of Pharaoh (Fir'awn) believe in Moses (Mûsa) ?

Verses 121-122 of Sura 7 contradict verse 83 of Sura 10.

Indeed, it is written, in 7:121-122 : « And the magicians bowed down. They said : We believe in the Lord of the universe, the Lord of Moses (Mûsa) and Aaron (Hârûn). » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 10, 83 : « No one believed in Moses, except a group of descendants of his people [...] »

6° In what part of his body does the culprit receive his Book ?

Verse 25 of Sura 69 contradicts verse 10 of Sura 84.

Indeed, it is written, in 69, 25 : « [...] the book will have been handed over in his left hand [...] » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 84, 10 : « [...] the one who will receive his book behind his back [...] »

7° What is the food in hell ?

Verses 43 and 44 of Sura 44 and verses 62 to 67 of Sura 37 contradict verses 36 and 37 of Sura 69 and verses 6 and 7 of Sura 88.

In fact, it is written, in 44:43-44 : « Of course the tree of Zakkûm will be the food of the great sinner [...] », and in 37:62-67 : « [...] the tree of Zakkûm [...] we have assigned it in trial to the unjust [...] they must certainly eat it [...] » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 69, 36-37 : « [...] nor any food other than pus, which only the guilty will eat », and in 88, 6-7 : « There will be for them no food other than thorny plants [...] »

8° Are there other deities created outside Allah ?

Verse 255 of Sura 2, verses 6 and 18 of Sura 3, verse 73 of Sura 5, verse 106 of Sura 6, verses 50, 61 and 84 of Sura 11, verses 2 and 22 of Sura 16, verses 8,14 and 98 of Sura 20, verse 25 of Sura 21, verse 26 of Surah 27, verse 88 of Surah 28, verse 3 of Surah 35, verse 35 of Surah 37, verse 65 of Surah 38, verse 6 of Surah 39, verses 3, 62 and 65 of Surah 40, verse 8 of Surah 44, verse 19 of Surah 47, verse 22 of Surah 59, verse 9 of Surah 73 and verse 1 of Surah 112 are in contradiction with verse 36 of Surah 14, verse 20 of surah 16, verse 82 of Surah 19, verse 73 of Surah 22, verse 3 of Surah 25, verse 75 of Surah 36, verse 48 of Surah 41 and verse 6 of Surah 46.

In fact, it is written in 2, 255, 3, 6, 18, 27, 26, 28, 88, 35, 3, 39, 6, 40, 3, 62, 65, 44, 8 : « There is no divinity except Him [...] », in 5, 73 : « [...] there is no divinity but one divinity [...] », in 6, 106 : « There is no divinity other than Him », in 11, 50, 61, 84 : « [...] no divinity outside Him », in 16, 2; 22 : « [...] Warn that there is no divinity other than me [...] » ; « Your God is one God [...] », in 20, 8;14;98 : « Allah, no divinity than him [...] » ; « [...] no divinity than me [...] » ; « Verily, your only god is Allah without whom there is no divinity », in 21, 25 : « There is no divinity apart from me », in 37, 35 and in 38, 65 : « There is no divinity apart from Allah », in 47, 19 : « there is no divinity apart from Allah », in 59, 22 : « He is Allah. There is no deity other than Him », in 73, 9 : « There is no deity except Him », and in 112, 1 : « [...] He is Allah, one. » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 14:36 : « [...] they have misled many people », in 16:20 : « And those whom they invoke apart from Allah create nothing, and they themselves are created », in 19:82 : « On the contrary, [they] will deny their worship and will be adversaries to them », in 22, 73 : « Those whom you invoke apart from Allah cannot even create a fly, even though they would unite for this [...] », in 25, 3 : « [...] deities who, being created themselves, create nothing [...] », in 36, 75 : « [...] they will instead form an army raised against them », in 41, 48 : « And what they used to invoke will forsake them [...] », and in 46, 6 : « [...] they will be their enemies and deny their worship [for them]. »

9° The fate reserved for the Jews

Verse 62 of Sura 2, and Verse 69 of Sura 5 are in contradiction with Verse 85 of Sura 3, Verse 64 of Sura 5, Verse 30 of Sura 9, Verse 28 of Sura 41, and Verse 6 of Sura 98, and also with verse 17 of Sura 22.

For it is written, in 2:62 : « [...] those who have Judaized themselves [...] whoever of them has believed in Allah [...] will have no fear, and will never be afflicted », and in 5:69 : « [...] those who have Judaized themselves [...] those among them who believe in Allah [...] do not fear them, and they will not be afflicted ». On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 3, 85 : « And whosoever desires a religion other than Islam, shall not be accepted, and he shall be, in the hereafter, among the losers », in 5:64 : « [...] cursed be they [the Jews] [...] we have cast enmity and hatred among them until the Day of Resurrection [...] », in 9:30 : « The Jews [...] imitate the disbelievers before them. May Allah destroy them ! [...] », in 41, 28 : « Thus shall the recompense of the enemies of Allah be the Fire, where they shall have an everlasting dwelling place as punishment for denying our verses », and in 98, 6 : « [...] the infidels among the people of the Book [...] shall go to the fire of Hell, to dwell therein eternally », whereas it is written, in 22:17 : « [...] those who have Judaized themselves [...] Allah will decide between them on the Day of Judgment [...] »

Following Muhammad’s expedition in 630, the Jews who settled in the oases of Khaïbar and Fadak, in Wâdil-Qurâ (the Valley of the Cities), were dispossessed of their possessions, including the land.

And for the unjust, no helpers ! »" , in 9, 30 : « [...] Christians [...] imitate the disbelievers before them. May Allah destroy them ! [...] », and in 98, 6 : « [...] the infidels among the people of the Book [...] will go to the fire of Hell, to dwell there eternally. »

(1) For Christians, Jesus is of a divine nature, according to the dogma of the Trinity.

"[...] Those who say, « God is truly the Messiah (al-Masîh), son of Mary (Maryam) », are ungodly." (cf. Qur'an, The Table Served V, 17;72).

11° The fate reserved for the Sabeans

(1) Indeed, « God does not forgive anyone to associate anything to him [...] He who associates anything to God commits an immense crime. » ("The Women" IV, 48.116).

14° On the creation of the earth and the heavens (or heaven)

Verse 29 of Sura 2 and verses 9 to 12 of Sura 41 contradict verses 27 to 30 of Sura 79.

Indeed, it is written, in 2:29 : « It is he [Allah] who created for you all that is on earth, and then directed his will to heaven [...] », and in 41:9-12 : « [...] He who created the Earth in two days [...] assigned to it his food resources in four days [...] He then spoke to heaven [...] He decreed to make seven heavens in two days [...] » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 79:27-30 : « [...] the sky that He built yet ? It is there that they found their ancestors [...] here they are running in their footsteps », in 38, 8 : « [...] they [those who have disbelieved] have not yet tasted my punishment », in 41, 27-28 : « We will certainly make those who do not believe a harsh punishment taste [...] the Fire where they will have an eternal abode, as punishment for having denied our verses », in 42, 45 : « And you will see them exposed before Hell, confounded in debasement [...] the unjust will certainly suffer a permanent punishment », in 44, 47-48 : « Let him be caught [the great sinner disbelievers (cf. 2, 276)] and carried away into the furnace; then let boiling water be poured on his head as punishment », in 45, 7-10 : « Woe to every great sinner imposter ! [...] Announce to him a painful punishment [...] those will have a degrading punishment. Hell is after them [...] They will have an enormous punishment », in 47, 4;12 : « When you meet those who have disbelieved, strike them in the neck. Then, when you have ruled them, chain them tightly » ; « [...] Fire will be their place of stay", in 48:16-17 : « [...] You will fight them unless they embrace Islam [...] if you turn away [...] He will punish you with a painful punishment [...] Whoever however turns aside, He will chastise you with a painful punishment », in 58, 5 : « [...] the disbelievers will have a debasing punishment », in 64, 5:10 : « [...] those who disbelieve [...] they will also have a painful punishment » ; « And those who disbelieve [...] These are the people of the fire, where they will dwell foreve », in 66, 9 : « O prophet, fight against the unbelievers [...] and be hard on them, their refuge will be Hell [...] », in 67, 6-7 : « Those who disbelieve [...] will have the punishment of Hell. When they are thrown into it [...] », in 72, 15, 17 : « And as for the unjust [those who are not Muslims], they will be the fuel of hell » ; « [...] And whoever turns away from the calling of his Lord, He leads him to an ever-increasing punishment », in 76, 4 : « We have prepared for the infidels chains, shackles, and a fiery furnace », in 88, 4-5;23-24 : « They shall burn with a burning fire, and shall drink with a boiling spring » ; « Except he who turns his back and does not believe, then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment », and in 98, 6 : « The infidels among the people of the Book, as well as the associates will go to the fire of hell, to dwell there eternally. »

The end justifies the means. « The worst beasts, of Allah, are those who have been unfaithful and therefore do not believe » (cf. 8:55), and « Allah is sufficient as a witness » (cf. 48:28).  In fact, it is written, respectively, in verses 19 and 85 of Sura 3, in verse 33 of Sura 9, in verse 28 of Sura 48 and in verse 9 of Sura 61 : « Surely the accepted religion of Allah is Islam » ; « And whosoever desireth any religion other than Islam shall not be accepted [...] » ; « It is He who has sent His messenger with the right guidance and the religion of truth, that it may triumph over all other religion [...] » ; « It is He who sent His messenger with the guidance and religion of truth to make it triumph over any other religion [...] »

Therefore, it is still totally justified today to exert moral and physical pressure on the unbelievers, and those who do not yield under duress must be annihilated ! (a)

18° Does the word of Allah change ? Can a verse be abrogated ?

Verse 106 of Sura 2, verse 50 of Sura 3, verse 39 of Sura 13, and verse 101 of Sura 16 contradict verses 34 and 115 of Sura 6, verse 64 of Sura 10, verse 27 of Sura 18, and verse 29 of Sura 50. Indeed, it is written, in 2, 106 : « If we abrogate any verse or make it forget, we bring a better or similar one », in 3, 50 : « And I confirm that which is in the revealed Torah, and I make lawful to you a part of that which was forbidden », in 13, 39 : « Allah erases or confirms what He wants [...] », and in 16, 101 : « When we replace one verse with another [...] » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 6, 34 : « [...] And no one can change the word of Allah, and a part of the story of the Messengers has already reached you », in 6, 115 : « And the word of your Lord [...] No one can change His words [...] », in 10, 64 : « [...] There will be no change to the words of Allah », in 18, 2 7 : « And recite what has been revealed to you from the Book of your Lord. No one can change His words [...] », and in 50, 29 : « In me the word does not change [...] »

How can we both confirm what is said in the Torah and authorize part of what was forbidden there, without contradicting ourselves? Consequently, the words of verse 50 of Sura 3 (cf. above) are contradictory !

In Sura 10, in verse 37, it is written : « This Quran is in no way to be forged apart from Allah, but it is the confirmation of what existed before him [...] came from the Lord of the Universe. »

In Sura 2, in verses 41 and 97, it is mentioned respectively : « And believe what I have brought down, in confirmation of what was already with you [...] » ; « [...] this revelation [the Koran] which declares the earlier messages truthful [...] »

In Sura 3, in verses 3 and 4, it is also written : « He brought down the Book upon you with the truth, confirming the books that came down before him. He [Allah] brought down the Torah and the Gospel before, as a guide for the people. »

It is therefore surprising to see a verse in which Allah authorizes what was formerly forbidden !

19° Is the Qur'an the word of God or the word of Muhammad ?

Verses 34 and 115 of Sura 6, verse 64 of Sura 10, verse 27 of Sura 18, and verse 29 of Sura 50 contradict verse 40 of Sura 69 and verse 19 of Sura 81. Indeed, it is written, in 6:34 : « [...] And no one can change the word of Allah [...] », in 6:115 : « [...] No one can change His words [...] », in 10:64 : « [...] There will be no change in the words of Allah », in 18:27 : « [...] No one can change His words [...] », and in 50, 29 : « In my house the word does not change [...] ». On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 69, 40 and in 81, 19 :  « And this [The Koran], is the word of a noble Messenger (Rasûl). (1) »

(1) The Messenger is Muhammad (cf. 3:144 : « Muhammad is only a Messenger [...] » ; 33, 40 : « Muhammad [...] the Messenger of Allah and the last of the prophets » ; 48, 29 : « Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah [...] »

We note in several different suras that it is indeed Muhammad (or a scribe from Muhammad, in the sura "The Opening") who speaks, and not Allah. Thus we find, in 1, 5 : « It is You [Allah] whom we worship [...] », in 2, 11 : « Worship only Allah. I am for you, on his part, a warner [...] », in 7, 155 : « [...] You [Allah] lead whom You want, and guide whom You want », in 9, 30 : « [...] May Allah destroy them [...] », in 9, 94 : « [...] we do not believe you. Allah has already informed us of your news [...] He will inform you of what you were doing », in 11, 2 : « Worship only Allah. I am for you, on his part, a Warner, an Annunciator », in 12, 108 : « This is my way, I call the people of Allah, I and those who follow me [...] », in 16, 23 : « No doubt Allah knows what they hide and what they disclose. And certainly he does not love the proud », in 17, 23-24 : « [...] worship only him [...] O my Lord, do to them [...] », in 18, 110 : « I am in fact a human being like you [...] », in 19, 36 : « Allah is my Lord just like your Lord », in 20, 8 : « Allah, there is no deity like him [...] », in 63, 4 : « [...] May Allah exterminate them ! [...] », in 27, 91-92 : « It was only commanded me to worship the Lord [...] and it was commanded me to be among the Muslims and to recite the Koran », in 39, 64 : « Will you command me to worship other than Allah, O ignorant ones ? », and in 71, 24 : « [...] Make [Lord] the unjust grow only in error. »

Moreover, if the word of Allah is the truth (Cf. 6:73 : « His word is the truth »), how is it that there are gross errors, lies and imaginary narratives in the Koran ? There is therefore every reason to think that many verses of the Qur'an are nothing but the words of Muhammad ! (Cf. articles "Errors and lies in the Qur'an", Imaginary narratives of the Qur'an" in french for the moment)

« Those who obey the Messenger (Muhammad) obey Allah [...] » (4, 80)

« [...] when Allah and His Messenger have decided otherwise. Whoever allows himself to disobey Allah and his Messenger is clearly going astray. » (33:36)

« O prophet ! We have made it lawful for you [...] This is a privilege for you, to which believers are excluded [...] » (33:50)

Three examples of verses intended to directly promote Muhammad !

20° Who leads people astray from the path of Allah ?

Verses 15 and 26 of Sura 2, verses 88 and 143 of Sura 4, verse 125 of Sura 6, verses 30,155,178 and 186 of Sura 7, verse 34 of Sura 11, verse 27 of Sura 13, verses 4 and 27 of Sura 14, verses 8 and 97 of Surah 17, verse 17 of Surah 18, verse 8 of Surah 35, verses 23 and 36 of Surah 39, verses 33, 34 and 74 of Surah 40, verses 44 and 46 of Surah 42, verse 23 of Surah 45, verse 24 of Surah 71, and verse 31 of Sura 74 contradict verses 60 and 119 of Sura 4, verse 39 of Sura 15, verse 4 of Sura 22, and verse 15 of Sura 28 which are in contradiction with verse 69 of Surah 3, verses 116 and 144 of Surah 6, verse 30 of Surah 14, verses 37 and 93 of Surah 16, verses 8 and 9 of Surah 22, verse 6 of Surah 31, verse 8 of Surah 39, and verses 26 and 27 of Sura 71.

He is truly an enemy, an obvious deceiver ». On the other hand, it is written, in 3, 69 : « Some of the people of the Book would have liked to lead you astray. But they will only lead you astray [...] » ; in 6, 116 : « [...] they [the majority of the people] will lead you astray from the path of Allah », in 6, 144 : « [...] the one who invents a lie against Allah to mislead people [...] », in 14, 30 : « They (the unjust, the unbelievers] gave to Allah equals in order to err (the people) from his path », in 16, 37;93 : « [...] Allah does not guide those who go astray » (1) ; « [...] But He [Allah] lets go astray who He wants [...] », in 22:8-9 : « [...] people [...] without any science, guide or Book [...] to lead [the people] astray from the path of Allah », in 31, 6 : « And among men there are some who, devoid of knowledge, buy pleasant speeches to lead astray out of the way of Allah [...] », in 39, 8 : « [...] man [...] assigns to Allah equals, in order to err (people] from his way [...] », and in 71, 26-27 : « [...] no infidel. If you [the unfaithful] leave them, they will lead your servants astray and only beget unfaithful sinner. »

(1) « [...] Of course your Lord knows perfectly those who go astray from his way [...] » (Cf. 53:30 ) ; « [...] It is your Lord who knows better those who go astray from his way [...] » (Cf. 68:7)

Indeed, it is written, in 2, 109 : « [...] forgive and forget [...] » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 4, 89 : « [...] seize them then, and kill them [the unbelievers, the infidels (al-kakfirun)] wherever you find them [...] », in 9, 29 : « Fight [...] those who do not profess the religion of truth », in 47, 4 : « When you meet those who have disbelieved, strike them [...] », and in 48:16 : « [...] You will fight them unless they embrace Islam [...] »

39° How many angels have come down to help ?

Verse 124 of Sura 3 contradicts verse 9 of Sura 8. Indeed, it is written, in 3:124 : « [...] three thousand angels. » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 8, 9 : « [...] a thousand angels [...] »

40° Does Allah forgive all sins ?

Verses 18, 48, 116, 137 and 168 of Sura 4, verse 80 of Sura 9, verse 34 of Sura 47, and verse 6 of Sura 63 contradict verse 53 of Sura 39. Indeed, it is written, in 4, 18 : « But absolution is not for those who commit evil deeds, until death comes to one of them, and not for those who die disbelievers », in 4, 48;116 : « Certainly Allah does not forgive that associates are given to him [...] », in 4, 137 : « Those [...] who have only grown in disbelief, Allah will not forgive them [...] », in 4, 168 : « Those who do not believe and practice unrighteousness, Allah is not willing to forgive [...] », in 9, 80 : « [...] Allah will not forgive [...] because they did not believe in Allah [...] », in 47, 34 : « Those who disbelieve [...] Allah will never forgive them », and in 63, 6 : « [...] Allah will never forgive them. » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 39, 53 : « [...] Allah forgives all sins. Yes, he is the Forgiver, the Most Merciful [...] »

41° Did the disbelievers take the devils as allies voluntarily ?

Verse 27 of Sura 7 is in contradiction with verse 30 of Sura 7. Indeed, it is written, in 7:27 : « [...] We have appointed devils as allies to those who do not believe. » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 7, 30 : « [...] because they took, instead of Allah, the devils for allies [...] »

42° Can the one who does not believe bear other burdens in addition to his own ?

Verse 164 of Sura 6, verse 15 of Sura 17, verse 18 of Sura 35, and verse 38 of Sura 53 contradict verse 25 of Sura 16 and verse 13 of Sura 29. In fact, in 6, 164 and 35, 18, it is mentioned : « [...] no one will bear the burden of others [...] », in 17, 15 : « [...] and no one will bear the burden of others [...] », and in 53, 38 : « [...] that no [soul] will bear the burden of others. » On the other hand, it is written, in 16, 25 : « Let them therefore bear [...] all the burdens of their own works, as well as some of the burdens of those whom they mislead [...] », and in 29, 13 : « [...] they will bear their burdens and other burdens in addition to their burdens [...] »

43° Is Allah unjust, on the one hand, with people who do not believe, and on the other, with women ?

Verse 44 of Sura 10 contradicts verses 7, 17, 18, 24, 89 and 217 of Sura 2, verses 12, 21, 90, 131, 141, 176 to 178, 181 and 188 of Sura 3, verse 56 of Sura 4, verses 10, 36, 37 and 86 of Sura 5, verse 125 of Surah 6, verse 27 of Surah 7, verses 35 to 37 of Surah 8, verses 3, 73 and 74 of Surah 9, verses 4 and 8 of Surah 10, verse 35 of Surah 13, verse 22 of Surah 14, verses 27 to 29 of Surah 16, verse 10 of Surah 17, verses 75, 77 and 79 of Surah 19, verses 19 to 22 and 56 of Surah 22, verse 6 of Surah 31, verse 25 of Surah 33, verses 8, 38 and 42 of Surah 34, verses 63 to 70 of Surah 37, verses 8, 55 to 59 of Surah 38, verses 27 and 28 of Surah 41, verse 45 of Surah 42, verses 47 and 48 of Surah 44, verses 7 to 10 of Surah 45, verse 12 of Surah 47, verses 16 and 17 of Surah 48, verses 11 to 16 of Surah 52, verse 5 of Surah 58, verses 6 and 7 of Surah 66, verses 15 and 17 of Surah 72, verse 4 of Sura 76 and verses 4, 5, 23 and 24 of Sura 88, as well as verses 228 of Sura 2, 11 and 34 of Sura 4 concerning the condition of women.

Indeed, it is written, in 10, 44 : « Verily, Allah is not unjust toward the people, but it is the people who harm themselves. » On the other hand, it is mentioned, on the one hand, for the people in general, in 2, 7;17-18;24;217 : « Allah has sealed [to the unjust] their hearts and ears, and a thick veil covers their sight, and for them [the infidels], there will be a great punishment », in 2, 89 : « [...] Allah has made their light disappear, and has left them in the darkness where they see nothing [...] blind [...] » ; « [...] fire [...] which is reserved for the infidels » ; « [...] may the curse of Allah be on the unbelievers » ; « [...] These are the people of the Fire : they shall dwell there forever », in 3, 12, 21;90;131;141;176-178;181;188 : « Say to those who do not believe : You will soon be defeated, and you will be gathered to Hell [...] » ; « Those who do not believe in the signs of Allah [...] announce to them a painful punishment » ; « [...] their repentance will never be accepted [...] » ; « [...] the Fire prepared for the unbelievers » ; « and so that Allah [...] Destroy the disbelievers » ; « [...] for them there will be an enormous punishment [...] a painful punishment [...] a debasing punishment » ; « [...] punishment of the Furnace » ; « [...] painful punishment ! » , in 4, 56 : « [...] we will soon burn them in the Fire [...] », in 5, 10;36-37;86 : « [...] those who do not believe are the people of Hell » ; « [...] for them there will be a painful punishment. They [the unbelievers] will want to come out of the Fire, but they will not come out of it. And they will have a permanent punishment » ; they are the people of the Furnace », in 6, 125 : « [...] Allah inflicts his punishment on those who do not believe. This is the way of your Lord in all righteousness [...] », in 7:27 : « [...] We have appointed devils to be allies with those who do not believe », in 8:35-37 : « [...] Taste the punishment, then, because of your disbelief [...] all those who do not believe will be gathered to Hell [...] to make of it a heap which He will throw into Hell [...] », in 9, 3 : « [...] a painful punishment to those who do not believe [...] », in 9, 73-74 : « [...] the disbelievers [...] Hell will be their refuge [...] Allah will punish them with a painful punishment [...] », in 10, 4;8 : « [...] to those who have not believed, they will have a boiling water drink and a painful punishment because of their disbelief » ; « their refuge will be Fire [...] », in 13, 35 : « [...] the end of the disbelievers will be Fire », in 14, 22 : « [...] Certainly, a painful punishment awaits the unjust », in 16, 27-29 : « [...] Ignominy and misfortune fall on the disbelievers today. Those to whom the angels take their lives [...] will submit themselves to humiliation [...] Enter, therefore, through the gates of Hell to dwell there eternally », in 17, 10 : « [...] we have prepared for them a painful punishment », in 19, 75;77;79 : « [...] until they see the punishment, or the hour of which they are threatened [...] » ; « [...] he who does not believe our verses [...] » ; « [...] and let us increase his punishment », in 22, 19-22;56 : « To those who do not believe, we shall cut out garments of fire, while on their heads, we will pour boiling water that will melt what is in their bellies as well as their skins. And there will be for them iron mesh [...] Taste the chastisement of the Furnace » ; « and when the infidels who have treated our revelations with falsehood, they will have a chastening punishment », in 31, 6 : « [...] those [the unjust] will suffer a chastening chastisement [...] », in 33, 25 : « And Allah has sent away with their rage the infidels without them having obtained any good [...] », in 34, 8;38;42 : « [...] those who do not believe [...] are doomed to punishment [...] » ; « [...] those will be forced to present themselves to punishment » ; « [...] We will say to the unjust : Taste the chastisement of Fire [...] », in 35, 36 : « And those who have disbelieved will have the fire of Hell [...] », in 37, 63-70 : « We have assigned him to the unjust in trial. It is a tree that comes out of the bottom of the Furnace. Its fruits are like devils' heads [...] they must fill their bellies. Then they will have on top a mixture of boiling water. Then their return will be the Furnace. It is there that they found their ancestors [...] here they are running in their footsteps », in 38, 8;55-59 : « [...] they [those who disbelieve] have not yet tasted my punishment » ; « Behold ! While the rebels will certainly have the worst of retreats. The hell where they will burn [...] Let them taste boiling water and purulent water, and other similar punishments [...] They will burn in the fire », in 41, 27-28 : « We will certainly make those who do not believe a harsh punishment taste [...] the Fire where they will have an eternal abode, as punishment for having denied our verses », in 42, 4 5 : « And thou shalt see them exposed before Hell, confounded in debasement [...] The unjust will certainly suffer a permanent punishment », in 44, 47-48 : « Let it be seized [the great sinner disbelievers (cf. 2, 276)] and let it be carried away into the furnace ; and let it be poured on its head boiling water as a punishment », 45, 7-10 : « Woe to every great sinner deceiver ! [...] Announce to him a painful punishment [...] those will have a degrading punishment. Hell is after them [...] They will have an enormous punishment », in 47, 12 : « [...] Fire will be their place of stay », in 48, 16-17 : « [...] if you turn away [...] He will chastise you with a painful punishment [...] Whoever however turns away, He will chastise you of a painful punishment », in 52:11-16 : « Woe to those who treat lies on that day [...] they will be brutally driven to the fire of hell [...] Burn in it ! [...] » , in 58, 5 : « [...] the disbelievers will have a degrading punishment », in 66, 9 : « [...] the disbelievers [...] their refuge will be Hell [...] », in 67, 6-7 : « Those who disbelieve [...] will have the punishment of Hell. When they are thrown into it [...] », in 72, 15;17 : « And as for the unjust [those who are not Muslims], they will be the fuel of hell » ; « [...] And whoever turns away from the call of his Lord, He leads him to an ever-increasing punishment », in 76, 4 : « We have prepared chains and straits and a burning furnace for the unfaithful », and in 88, 4-5; 23-24 : « They shall burn with a burning Fire, and be made to drink with a boiling spring » ; « Except he who turns his back and does not believe, then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment », and on the other hand, concerning women, in 2, 228 : « [...] men, however, have a predominance (qawwâmûna, authority) over them [women] [...] », in 4, 11, 34 : « [...] to the son, a share equivalent to that of two daughters [...] » ; « Men have authority over women, because of the favors Allah bestows on them [...] Virtuous women are obedient [...] And when to those whose disobedience you fear [...] strike them [...] », macho verses contrary to the Convention of 18 December 1979 on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (b).

44° Can the people of the Book have faith and piety ?

Verse 65 of Sura 5 is in contradiction with verse 62 of Sura 2 and verse 69 of Sura 5. Indeed, it is written, in 5, 65 : « If the people of the Book had faith and godliness [...] » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 2, 62 : « [...] those who believed, the Nazarenes and the Sabeans, whoever believed [...] », and in 5, 69 : « [...] those who believed, the Sabeans and Christians, those among them who believe [...] »

45° Is wine, an intoxicating drink, legal ?

Verse 219 of Sura 2 and verse 90 of Sura 5 contradict verse 67 of Sura 16. Indeed, it is written, in 2, 219 : "They ask him about wine and gambling. Say : « In both there is a great sin [...] sin is greater than utility »", and in 5, 90 : « [...] wine [...] than an abomination, work of the Devil. Move away from [...] ». On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 16, 6 7 : « From the fruits of palm trees and vines, you remove an intoxicating drink and an excellent food [...] » Moreover, in "the description of paradise", in verse 15 of Sura 47, it is written : « streams of a delicious wine to drink. »

« Satan wants to stir up hostility and hatred among you by means of wine and gambling. [...] » ("The Table Served" V, 91)

46° By whom are men tempted, who leads them astray ?

Verse 169 of Sura 2, and verses 7 and 200 of Sura 7 "Al Araf" contradict verse 41 of Sura 5 "The table served". Indeed, it is written, in 2, 169 : « He [the Devil)] commands you only evil and turpitude and to say against Allah that which you do not know », in 7, 27;200 : « [...] May the Devil not tempt you [...] » ; « When a temptation of the Devil (shaytân) incites you to evil, seek the protection of God [...] » On the other hand, it is mentioned, in 5, 41 : « He whom Allah wills to subject to temptation. »

Of course, it is regrettable that acts of cruelty can be reported there.

For example, verse 56 of Sura 4, quoted above in 17°, to the question "Should we compel in religion ?" is especially cruel to those who do not believe the verses of the Koran.

Conclusion :

Forty-six contradictions were thus highlighted in the Koran. Thirty-five Meccan suras contradict the versions of seventeen Medina suras, fifty-four Meccan suras contradict each other, and sixteen Medina suras directly contradict each other !

These numerous contradictions in the Book make it possible to announce that several scriptwriters contributed to its composition. In truth, the suras that make up the Kur'an were not written with a single hand, but are the work of a less rigorous compiler.

The secular seeker must prove the texts wrong, when they contradict each other, when they state absurd things or formally refuted by more authoritative testimonies. Modestly, he tries to unravel the lies and find the true through the network of illusions of all kinds that envelop the true story.

Therefore, in order to put an end to the doubts, it is necessary to reject the false verses. After reading the contradictory verses, the informed reader will be able to reflect on what should be usefully repealed. God is not a weather vane who changes his mind at the whim of the wind. Some verses even contradict Articles 18 and 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights : « Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion ; this right implies the freedom to change religion or belief and the freedom to manifest his religion or belief alone or in common, both in public and in private, through education, practices, worship and observance of rites » ; « Every individual has the right to freedom of opinion and expression, which implies the right not to be disturbed for his opinions and to seek, receive and spread, without regard to frontiers, information and ideas by any means of expression ».

The Meccan suras 51, 56, 77, 78, 80, 82 to 87, 89 to 95, 100 to 108, 111, 113, 114 (thirty suras out of eighty-five, or about 35%) and the Medieval suras 49, 60, 61, 64, 65, 99 and 110 (seven suras out of twenty-eight, or about 25%) are not concerned by the contradictions within the Qur'an (1).

(1) Sura 1 (the prologue of the Koran) was not taken into account in the comparative study.

It is urgent to confront the hypocrites with their contradictions and to demand a reform of the Qur'anic texts which contain hateful and persecutory verses !

(a)

« [...] Therefore, and in accordance with the commandments of Allah, we publish the following fatwa for all Muslims : Killing Americans and their civilian and military allies is an individual duty for every Muslim [...]. We call on the Muslim ulema, loyal Muslim leaders, young people and faithful soldiers to launch attacks against the soldiers of Satan [...] » (Cf. Press release announcing the creation of the World Islamic Jihad Front against the Jews and the Crusaders, 23 February 1998, signed by bin Laden and five other Islamist leaders)

« I believe that the Muslim has a duty to revive the glory of Islam [...] I believe that the flag of Islam must dominate humanity, and that the duty of every Muslim is to educate the world according to the rules of Islam ; I pledge to fight as long as I live, to carry out this mission, and to sacrifice to it all that I have. I believe that all Muslims are but one nation united by the Islamic faith and Islam commands its sons to do good to all ; I pledge to make my effort to strengthen the bond of brotherhood among all Muslims, and to abolish the indifference and differences that exist between their communities and their brotherhoods. I believe that the secret of the delay of Muslims lies in their distance from religion, that the basis of the reform will be to return to the teachings of Islam and its judgments, that this is possible, if Muslims work in this direction and that the doctrine of the Brotherhood Muslims achieve this goal. » translated from french :

[The Creed of the Muslim Brotherhood , quoted in the World Dictionary of Islamism]. Les cahiers de l'Orient, Éd. Plon, 2002)

« I will erase the evil deeds [...] of those who fought and were killed [...] As for Allah, the greatest reward is with him ! » (Qur'an 3:195).

« Those who obey the Messenger (Muhammad) obey Allah [...] » (Qur'an, 3, 80)

« Fight for the cause of Allah as He deserves ! » (Qur'an 22:78)

In his book Ma'alim fi tarîq (Milestones on the Road) published in 1964, Sayyid Qutb, a leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood, affirmed that Islam will triumph at the end of a holy war (Jihad), that the battle between the believers and the ungodly may end only with the destruction of the enemy. As a result, he exhorted his disciples to rebel all over the world. Its Manichaean doctrines still find a broad resonance with a practicing Muslim public that strives to weave terrorist networks. Sayyid Qutb « invented, in spite of himself, the religious guarantee that will serve generations of terrorists. » (Cf. Ali Laïdi et Ahmed Salam, Le Jihad en Europe : la filière du terrorisme islamiste, [Jihad in Europe: the chain of Islamist terrorism ], p. 113, Éditions Seuil, Paris, 2002).

« Many young French, converted to radical Islam, are members of these networks. » translated from french : « De nombreux jeunes français, convertis à l'islam radical, sont membres de ces réseaux. » (Cf. Hassane Zerrouky, La nébuleuse islamique en France et en Algérie, [The Islamic Nebula in France and Algeria], Éditions n°1, Paris, 2002) ; thus, for example, a schoolboy only thirteen years old who had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State had planned to commit an attack with a knife !

Islam as a deadly spider continues to weave its web on Europe !

Yûsuf al-Qaradâwî, president of the International Union of Muslim Ulema (UIOM, said on the website aljazeera.net, January 24, 1999 : « [...] Islam will return to Europe. Islam has twice entered Europe, twice left it... Perhaps the next conquest, with the will of Allah, will take place through preaching and ideology. Not every land is conquered by the sword », and on June 17, 2004, « There is no dialogue between us and the Jews, except by the sword and the rifle. »

« If you can kill an American or European unbeliever — especially the wicked and dirty French — [...] citizen of countries that have joined a coalition against the Islamic State, then count on Allah and kill him in any way. If you cannot find an explosive device or ammunition, then isolate the unfaithful American, the unfaithful Frenchman, or any of his allies. Crush his head with stones, kill him with a knife, overthrow him with your car, throw him into the void, choke him or poison him. » (Cf. Abû Muhammed al-'Adnânî, spokesman for Daesh, 22/09/2014)

Al-Adnani also said in 2016 :

« And this is [the month of] Ramadan. The month of jihad, fighting and conquest [...] Make of a month of anger against the kuffar [infidels] everywhere. [...] Know that [shed] the blood [of people residing] in the land of crusaders and combatants is not prohibited. There are no innocents [there]. » (Cf. Discourse of 21/05/2016, Al-Furqan, "let them live by proof")

« Our goal, our victory or our failure is not about conquering or losing a city. Our system of action is essentially to spread sharia and follow the Koran. As long as our Holy Quran is read and spread, our true conquest will continue and we will never be defeated. » (Cf. Abû Muhammed al-'Adnânî, spokesman of Daesh, 2016)

Serious violations of human rights are committed in the name of religion.

In 1997, in Afghanistan, dozens of men were hit in the streets by Taliban and forced to go to the mosque for Friday prayers. (Source: Amnesty International, Annual Report 1997)

Many verses of the Qur'an are contrary to articles 18 and 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human and Citizen Rights of 10 December 1948 (1) and to article 30a and b of the Arab Charter of Human Rights of May 2004 (2).

(1) Art. 18. Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion ; this implies the freedom to change religion or belief and the freedom to manifest his religion or belief alone or in common [...].

Art. 19. Every individual has the right to freedom of opinion and expression, which implies the right not to be disturbed for his opinions and to seek, receive and spread, regardless of frontiers, information and ideas by any means of expression.

(2) « Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, belief and religion, which may not be subject to any restriction not provided for in law ; Freedom to manifest his or her religion or belief [...] may be subject only to the restrictions laid down by law and which are necessary in a tolerant society, respectful of human rights and freedoms for the protection of public safety, public order, public health or public morality or the fundamental rights and freedoms of others. »

(b) In 1997, in Afghanistan, many women were hit in the street because they were not wearing the chaderi (clothing that completely covered the body and pierced with a small lace opening at eye level) or because they were showing their ankles. For example, in October, a woman walking down a street in Kabul with her two children was flogged by Taliban with a car antenna because her veil had slipped.
